## Definition

> 1. '**intermediary** [**crypto-asset service provider**](/definitions/dora/crypto-asset-service-provider.md)' means a crypto-asset service provider that is not the crypto-asset service provider of the [originator](/definitions/tofr/originator.md) or of the [beneficiary](/definitions/tofr/beneficiary.md) and that receives and transmits a [transfer of crypto-assets](/definitions/tofr/transfer-of-crypto-assets.md) on behalf of the crypto-asset service provider of the originator or of the beneficiary, or of another intermediary crypto-asset service provider;
