## Subject matter

1. This Regulation lays down uniform requirements for the [offer to the public](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/offer-to-the-public) and admission to trading on a trading platform of [crypto-assets](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/crypto-asset) other than [asset-referenced tokens](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/asset-referenced-token) and [e-money tokens](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/electronic-money-token), of asset-referenced tokens and of e-money tokens, as well as requirements for [crypto-asset service providers](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/crypto-asset-service-provider).
2. In particular, this Regulation lays down the following:
   1. transparency and disclosure requirements for the issuance, [offer to the public](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/offer-to-the-public) and admission of crypto-assets to trading on a trading platform for crypto-assets (‘**admission to trading**’);
   2. requirements for the authorisation and supervision of [crypto-asset service providers](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/crypto-asset-service-provider), [issuers](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/issuer) of [asset-referenced tokens](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/asset-referenced-token) and issuers of [e-money tokens](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/electronic-money-token), as well as for their operation, organisation and governance;
   3. requirements for the protection of holders of [crypto-assets](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/crypto-asset) in the issuance, offer to the public and admission to trading of crypto-assets;
   4. requirements for the protection of [clients](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/client) of [crypto-asset service](https://www.mica.wtf/definitions/definitions/mica/crypto-asset-service) providers;
   5. measures to prevent insider dealing, unlawful disclosure of inside information and market manipulation related to crypto-assets, in order to ensure the integrity of markets in crypto-assets.
