# Article 27 — Cooperation among competent authorities

**Source:** [Regulation (EU) 2023/1113 — EUR-Lex](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32023R1113)

The exchange of information among competent authorities and with relevant third-country authorities under this Regulation shall be subject to Directive (EU) 2015/849.

## What this means in practice

A single-sentence cross-reference: cross-authority and authority-to-third-country information exchange under ToFR rides on the **AMLD5 cooperation framework** (Chapter VI of AMLD5). ToFR does not create a parallel cooperation regime — it plugs into the existing one. For CASPs and PSPs, the practical implication is that information disclosed in response to an [Art. 24](/tofr/transfer-of-funds-regulation/chapter-v-information-data-protection-record-retention/article-24-provision-of-information.md) request can flow onward to other Member States' AML authorities and to third countries under AMLD5's safeguards and gateways.
